.DISCUSSION...
Warm weather is expected through the early week, with highs in the
70s. Min RH values will mostly be in the 40s and 50s during this
time frame across the Western Interior and interior Seward
Peninsula, with 60s or higher in the Lower Yukon and Lower Kobuk
Valleys and on the coast. Showers will be possible across the
Middle Yukon and Lower Kuskokwim Valleys through Tuesday. Among
these showers, isolated thunderstorms will be possible on Monday
and Tuesday, with widely scattered thunderstorms possible from
Galena to Ruby on Monday. Breezy southwest winds will be possible
over parts of the southwestern Interior today. Southeast winds of
15 to 20 mph will be possible over the YK Delta and the Lower
Yukon River Valley (mostly near and west of Marshall) through
Monday, with northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph possible over the
Lower Kobuk Valley starting Monday morning and the Upper Kobuk
Valley Monday afternoon. Cooler weather with highs in the lower
70s or 60s is likely by late week.
