...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 10 PM AKDT
THURSDAY...

* AFFECTED AREA...South Slopes of the Western Brooks Range and
  Upper Kobuk Valleys.

* TIMING...From 10 AM to 10 PM AKDT Thursday.

* LIGHTNING ACTIVITY LEVEL...4.

* WINDS...Southeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* HUMIDITY...As low as 33 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Highs in the lower 80s.

* IMPACTS...Rapid ignition, growth and spread of fires will be
  possible. Frequent lightning can promote new fire starts. Hot
  and dry conditions may lead to rapid spread of fires.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that conditions are occurring or will
occur which could lead to the development of large and dangerous
fires. It is directed toward fire agencies, and through them, to
the public.

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of this Red Flag Warning.
