...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM AKST
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations
  between 2 and 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Freezing
  drizzle or light freezing rain may mix with the snow at times.

* WHERE...Kivalina and Red Dog Dock and Noatak Valley.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM AKST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel may be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow may
  reduce visibility to 1/2 mile or less at times.

* Additional Details...The strongest winds are expected further west
  and weaken rapidly further east. Temperatures warm into the upper
  20s to near freezing Thursday through Friday. As temperatures warm
  the risk of blowing snow decreases. There is a chance for periods
  of freezing drizzle or light freezing rain amongst the snow as
  temperatures warm. Ice accumulations are not expected to exceed
  trace amounts.

FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Wintry mix and periods of freezing rain. Additional snow
  accumulations up to 2 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
  Periods of freezing rain leads to ice accumulations between 0.01
  and 0.09 inches.

* WHERE...Bering Strait Coast, Shishmaref, Diomede, and St Lawrence
  Island.

* WHEN...Until noon AKST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel may be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow may
  reduce visibility to 1/2 mile or less at times.

* Additional Details...Temperatures warm Thursday through Friday
  reaching near or just above freezing. Snow changes to wintry mix
  and light freezing rain late Thursday through Friday morning.
