Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Freezing drizzle or light freezing rain may mix with the snow at times. * WHERE...Kivalina and Red Dog Dock and Noatak Valley. * WHEN...Until 3 PM AKST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel may be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow may reduce visibility to 1/2 mile or less at times. * Additional Details...The strongest winds are expected further west and weaken rapidly further east. Temperatures warm into the upper 20s to near freezing Thursday through Friday. As temperatures warm the risk of blowing snow decreases. There is a chance for periods of freezing drizzle or light freezing rain amongst the snow as temperatures warm. Ice accumulations are not expected to exceed trace amounts.
