...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Winds could gust as high as 60 mph resulting in blowing
  snow.

* WHERE...Bering Strait Coast, Interior Seward Peninsula, Southern
  Seward Peninsula Coast, and St Lawrence Island.

* WHEN...From Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce
  visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation.

Persons should consider delaying travel. If travel is absolutely
necessary, consider taking a winter storm kit along with you,
including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight,
shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid
kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you
become stranded.
