Subject: Termination of UKMET Data on the Satellite Broadcast
Network: Effective December 8, 2025

Effective on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 1200 UTC, the National
Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) Central Operations
will cease the transmission of UKMET data on the Satellite
Broadcast Network (SBN).  This data is currently in GRIB1 format
at 1.25-degree resolution.

The following WMO headers will no longer be transmitted on the
SBN: H[HTRUV][I-P][A-Z][0-9][0-9] EGRR.

This data is being discontinued by the UKMET office and will no
longer be available.

The 1.0-degree data available at 00z and 12z with headers HPY[A-
Z][0-9][0-9] EGRR will still be available.

In the event that the implementation date is declared a Critical
Weather Day (CWD), an Enhanced Caution Event (ECE), or other
significant weather is occurring or is anticipated to occur,
implementation of this change will take place at 1200 UTC on the
next weekday not declared a CWD and when no significant weather
is occurring.
