...STRONG SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Lake Superior East of a line from Manitou Island to Marquette MI
  and West of a line from Grand Marais MI to the US/Canadian Border
  Beyond 5NM from shore...
  Marquette to Munising MI...

At 238 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong showers and
thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and
small hail. A waterspout is also possible. These showers and
thunderstorms were located over Laughing Whitefish Point, or near
Shelter Bay, and over the open waters, moving north at 20 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Laughing Whitefish Point and Shot Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this showers and storms pass.
