This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest
Iowa...west central Iowa...east central Nebraska...northeast
Nebraska and southeast Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Dangerous blizzard conditions today for many. Travel is discouraged.

Rain has changed to snow across much of our area along and north
of I-80.  Maximum snowfall amounts of 6-12" are expected along an
axis from Onawa, IA to Tekamah to Fremont to David City.

Extremely strong winds are being observed with peak wind gusts of
65-75 mph from the north. Along with the blizzard conditions, the
strong winds are damaging trees and powerlines with numerous
power outages ongoing.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

Spotter activation will not be required, but snowfall reports are
appreciated.
