Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...Illinois...

  Mississippi River at Thebes

...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Missouri...
Illinois...

  Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau

.Recent heavy rainfall upstream along the Mississippi River is
causing river levels to rise. Moderate flooding is now forecast to
develop at Cape Girardeau next week with minor flooding forecast at
Thebes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

  - At 10:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 28.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Sunday morning and continue rising to a crest of 36.5
    feet Wednesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
