Two EF-0 tornadoes impacted both the south side of Owensboro, KY, and near the community of Hatfield, IN, during the late afternoon hours. In southeast Missouri, two EF-1 tornadoes struck Cape Girardeau County during the late evening hours, one near Oak Ridge and another near Fruitland. .Owensboro, KY... The tornado was filmed developing along US Highway 431 south of the US 60 bypass where it damaged a billboard. Moving northeast, the tornado damaged the roof of a strip mall shopping center and blew shopping carts around a parking lot. The tornado then damaged the garden section of a home improvement stores near Southtown Blvd. On Salem Drive, the tornado damaged windows and a door of a large furniture retail building. The tornado was spotted crossing the US 60 Bypass and then did damage at the 14th hole at the Owensboro Country Club. .Hatfield, IN... Minor damage to tree branches and tree tops was reported with the tornado. .Oak Ridge, MO... The tornado crossed US Highway 61 where it uprooted trees and removed the roof a barn off County Road 514 just west of the Shawneetown, MO, community. Numerous trees also lost limbs or were uprooted along the path. Estimated maximum tornado width was 50 yards. .Fruitland, MO... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 107 mph Path Length /statute/: 1.64 miles Path Width /maximum/: 125 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 06/07/2025 Start Time: 10:23 PM CDT Start Location: 3 NNE Jackson / Cape Girardeau County / MO Start Lat/Lon: 37.419 / -89.6194 End Date: 06/07/2025 End Time: 10:25 PM CDT End Location: 4 NE Jackson / Cape Girardeau County / MO End Lat/Lon: 37.4261 / -89.5911 Survey Summary: An EF-1 tornado with estimated peak winds of 107 mph did considerable tree damage along a west to east path along State Highway Y south-southeast of Fruitland, MO. Several trees were snapped or uprooted along the path in addition to numerous downed tree limbs. A couple structures were damaged by uprooted trees. An unfinished house near the intersection of Highways Y and W had several walls knocked down by the tornado. A few other structures suffered roof and siding damage as well.
