At 937 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Kiln to 7 miles southwest of Waveland, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Bay St. Louis, Waveland, Diamondhead, Pearl River, Kiln, Pearlington, Shoreline Park, and Stennis Space Center. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Louisiana near mile marker 273. Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 16. Interstate 59 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 11. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. These storms may cause serious injury and significant property damage.
