At 752 PM EDT, radar indicated showers were located along a line extending from 15 miles east of Virginia Beach to near Whaleyville. Movement was southeast at 45 mph. Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible with these showers. Locations impacted include... Virginia Beach, Currituck, Elizabeth City, Camden, Elizabeth City State University, Grandy, Weeksville, Great Bridge, South Mills, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Fentress, Nixonton, Princess Anne, Whaleyville, Shiloh, Back Bay, Indiantown, Morgans Corner and Corolla. If you see lightning or hear thunder, you are at risk! Take shelter indoors immediately. If you cannot find shelter in a building a vehicle provides safety from lightning. Strong wind gusts are possible with these showers. These wind gusts are capable of knocking down tree limbs, small or weakened trees, and blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture, and other light outdoor objects.
