...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED TODAY ACROSS THE
SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH-CENTRAL TEXAS PANHANDLE...

* Affected Area...Southwest and south-central parts of the Texas
  Panhandle.

* 20 Foot Winds...Southwest 15 to 20 MPH this morning, shifting to
  west and increasing into the 20 to 30 MPH range with higher
  gusts this afternoon and evening. Further shifting to northwest
  is expected early this evening.

* Relative Humidity...Briefly falling to around 20 percent.

* Timing...From 100 PM to 800 PM CST today.

Outdoor burning and activities that cause open sparks or flames
are discouraged. Fire and emergency officials should be aware that
weather conditions will be favorable for the development of
large grass fires.
