Public Information Statement
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
1224 PM CDT Tue Mar 13 2018

On Wednesday, March 14, we will be undergoing a computer upgrade
at our office. This will impact the NOAA Weather Radio broadcasts
originating from our office. There may be times the broadcasts are
either off the air, or will have missing segments (such as the
hourly weather conditions). The outages may begin as early as 7
am, but are more likely during the late morning and early
afternoon hours. Normal operations are expected to resume toward
mid to late afternoon.

Due to this upgrade, the normal Wednesday test of the alarm
signals will be postponed. The test will be held Thursday, between
the hours of 11 am and noon.

The following stations will be impacted by these issues:

Bloomington (KZZ-65)
Champaign (WXJ-76)
Galesburg (KZZ-66)
Jacksonville (WXM-90)
Newton (KXI-48)
Paris (KXI-47)
Peoria (WXJ-71)
Shelbyville (KXI-46)
Springfield (WXJ-75)
