Temperatures - Warmer than Normal

During April 2026, Rochester International Airport had an average
temperature of 47.9F. This was 2.7F warmer than the 1991-2020
normal of 45.2F.

The average high temperature was 58.1F. This was 2.8F warmer than
the 1991-2020 normal of 55.3F.

The average low temperature was 37.8F. This was 2.7F warmer than
the 1991-2020 normal of 35.1F. This was the 16th warmest.

The warmest temperature was 82F on April 22 and the coldest
temperature was 19F on April 7.

The low temperature was below freezing on 11 days. The long-term
average is 13 days.

Precipitation - Tied for 16th Wettest with 1919

A total of 4.44 inches of precipitation fell at Rochester
International Airport. This was 0.92 inches wetter than the 1991-
2020 normal of 3.52 inches. This April was tied with 1919 for the
