Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
226 PM PDT Tue Apr 16 2024

.DISCUSSION...Cold and dry air has spread out across the region
behind the exiting cold front, as northwest flow aloft continues
to pipe in cooler air. This will attribute to frigid temperatures
tonight as clouds break to drop Wednesday morning lows to near
freezing across the Yakima/Kittitas Valley and the northern Blue
Mountain foothills. Elevated winds are still present through the
Kittitas Valley, Eastern Gorge, and the northern Blue Mountain
foothills as gusts between 35-50 mph are expected to peak between
4 and 5 PM this evening. Humidities will also continue to decline
through the remainder of the week as temperatures warm.

***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
