...HIGH FLOWS TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND ON EAST IDAHO
WATERWAYS...

Warmer than normal temperatures are expected through Saturday along
with a modest precipitation event impacting the region today. A
number of rivers and creeks in East Idaho are already experiencing
near bankfull conditions with high flows. Seepage and ponding of
water are expected to continue in low lying areas along active
waterways due to continued runoff due to snow melt. The addition
of rainfall today may push some waterways into flood stage over
the weekend.

Individuals recreating or working near active waterways should
remain cautious as rivers run deceptively swift and cold through
the weekend. Be sure to keep children and pets away from area
rivers and streams as they can be easily swept downstream.
