The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  North central Carbon County in south central Montana...

* Until 430 AM MDT Wednesday.

* At 1023 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  very heavy rain across the warned area. Rainfall rates of 1 to 2
  inches per hour have been observed. Flash flooding is expected.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
  Joliet, Fromberg, Edgar, Rockvale and Silesia.

* Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall will continue through the
  night. Streams, ditches and other low lying areas may experience
  flooding. This includes Elbow Creek, Rock Creek, Heifer Creek and
  Five Mile Creek. The heavy rainfall may also result in sharp rises
  on the Clarks Fork River near Edgar.


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is
harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency and have
them pass the information on to the National Weather Service.
