The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Anderson County in east central Kansas...
  Southern Coffey County in east central Kansas...

* Until 615 PM CDT

* At 319 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
  advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen and
  additional storms are moving into the area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Garnett, Burlington, Colony, Gridley, Westphalia, Kincaid, Lone Elm
  and Le Roy.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
