Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
329 PM MDT Fri May 10 2024

.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Saturday...No real fire wx concerns for
Saturday. Skies will be mostly cloudy and good chances of rain
are in the forecast during the afternoon hours. Snow levels should
remain above 10,000 ft MSL. Chances of wetting rain are 20-50%
for the plains, and 50-80% for the high country. Isolated
thunderstorms are also possible. Southerly winds increase across
the plains, gusting to near 30 mph, but RH will be above 30%
during the afternoon. Smoke dispersal will be good to excellent
where it`s windy (plains), but fair or poor everywhere else (I-25
and westward).

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday night through Wednesday...Warming
trend in temperatures Sunday through mid week next week. With the
exception of Wednesday, RH values stay above 25-30 percent in the
afternoons. Breezy conditions expected Sunday and Tuesday.
Critical fire weather conditions not expected. Fair to good smoke
dispersal across the high country and most of the plains Sunday.
Good to very good dispersal on Monday.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
