THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE
COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER.

...AVALANCHE WARNING IN EFFECT 3PM SATURDAY UNTIL 5PM MONDAY...

*WHAT...The Avalanche Danger will rise to HIGH (Level 4 of 5) on
Sunday through the end of the day Monday.

*WHERE...Park Range and Elk Head Mountains.

*WHEN... In effect from 3PM Saturday, January 28 until 5PM on Monday
January 30

*IMPACTS...Heavy snow and strong winds have created dangerous
avalanche conditions in the backcountry. Large and dangerous
avalanches will be very easy to trigger in many places. Avalanches
will run naturally.

*PRECAUTION/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel in backcountry avalanche
terrain is not recommended. Avoid travel on and under slopes steeper
than about 30 degrees. You can find more detailed information at
