Rip Current Risk:      Low Risk. The risk for rip current is low,
                       however, life threatening rip currents often
                       occur in the vicinity of the South Padre Island
                       jetties. Remember to swim near a lifeguard.

Lightning Risk:       None.

Ultraviolet Index:     Extreme. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and
                       sunglasses, and use sunscreen of SPF 15 or
                       higher. Remain in shade if possible.

Weather:               Partly cloudy in the morning becoming mostly
                       sunny in the afternoon.

Temperatures:          Low to Mid 90s.

Wind:                  South at 10 mph.

Wave Heights:          1 to 2 feet.

Surf Temperature:      82 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       84 degrees.

Tides:                 A minor low at 4 59 am.
                       A minor high at 8 26 am. A low at 5 37 pm.

Outlook:               The rip current risk will likely remain low
                       through the weekend and into the early half
                       of next week. Summer heat and humidity will
                       remain with afternoon highs up in the upper
                       80s and low to mid 90s.
