Rip Current Risk:      Low Risk. The risk for rip currents is low,
                       however, life threatening rip currents often
                       occur in the vicinity of the South Padre Island
                       jetties. Remember to swim near a lifeguard, if
                       possible.

Lightning Risk:       None.

Ultraviolet Index:     Extreme. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses,
                       and use sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher. Remain in
                       shade if possible.

Weather:               Partly Cloudy in the morning then becoming mostly
                       sunny.

Temperatures:          Middle 70s.

Wind:                  East 10 to 15 mph.

Wave Heights:          2 feet or less.

Surf Temperature:      76 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       75 degrees.

Tides:                 A low at 4 35 am. A high at 1 18 pm.

Outlook:               The rip current risk is expected to remain low this
                       week. A weak cold front arrives during midweek with
                       a chance for showers and storms from Wednesday into
                       early Thursday morning. Additional chances for rain
                       and storms arrive Friday into Saturday with passing
                       weak upper level disturbances and the approach of a
                       cold front. Expect for the high temperatures at the
                       coast to remain in the mid to upper 70s through the
                       upcoming weekend.
