...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of northwestern Mercer,
southwestern Rock Island, southwestern Scott, eastern Muscatine and
central Louisa Counties through 545 PM CDT...

At 458 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Fruitland, or near Muscatine, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could cause minor tree limb damage and blow
         around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects
         is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Muscatine, Walcott, Blue Grass, Buffalo, Andalusia, Fruitland,
Grandview, Letts, Illinois City, Fairport, Montpelier, Edgington,
Sand Springs, Clark`s Ferry Recreation Area, Midway Beach, New Era,
Loud Thunder Forest Preserve, Pleasant Prairie, Fairport Recreation
Area, and Wildcat Den State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
