...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN CLEVELAND COUNTY
THROUGH 145 PM EDT...
At 118 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 4
miles northwest of Shelby, or near Lattimore, moving southeast at 10
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Shelby, Boiling Springs NC, Patterson Springs, Lattimore, Mooresboro,
Earl, Kingstown, Waco, and Grover.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
the Piedmont of North Carolina...and Upstate South Carolina.
