  Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid
Lake...

At 725 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and isolated
thunderstorms capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These
were over northeast Illinois and approaching the Illinois nearshore,
moving east at 40 knots. These are expected to maintain themselves as
they move to the Indiana nearshore.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
