...Brief Period of Moderate Rain This Morning May Cause Minor
Flooding...

An small area of showers and thunderstorms is moving out of
Missouri into far southern Iowa this morning across Wayne and
Appanoose Counties. With already saturated ground from last
night`s rainfall over the area, the additional rain this morning
of a quarter to a third of an inch may lead to rapid runoff and
minor flooding over the southeast portion of Wayne County from
near Clio to Allerton east to Seymour as well as the southeast
half of Appanoose County.

If you are traveling through these areas early today, remain very
cautious to possible street or road flooding, or runoff from area
farm fields impacting low water crossings. Avoid any areas that
may be impacted by water and report any suspected flooding to the
nearest law enforcement office. The rain will move out of the area
between 8 am and 9 am this morning.
