...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR GILA COUNTY UNTIL 500 PM MST...

At 408 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles south of Hilltop, or 20 miles east of Globe, moving north at 5
mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of Gila County.
This includes US Highway 60 between mile markers 276 and 277.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
