.DISCUSSION...Expect a fair amount of variable wind activity
through the forecast period, especially at the edge of the plateau
and near Roaring Springs Canyon and Bright Angel Canyon. Winds
overall will trend west through southwest in the day and northwest
through northeast at night. Winds at night will likely be stronger
than daytime winds. Hot and mostly dry conditions will persist.
There will be chances for convective showers and thunderstorms
each afternoon, precipitation amounts will be very light.

Sky/weather.........Becoming mostly clear. A slight chance
                    of light showers or VIRGA through sunset.
Chance of pcpn......10 percent.
Min temperature.....60 to 62.
Max humidity........29 to 31 percent.
Wind (20 ft)........Variable winds 5 to 10 mph through sunset.
                    Winds will trend west-southwest along the
                    edge of the drop off. Drainage winds developing
                    by 2100L. Then, winds north-northwest 10 to 20 mph
                    through much of the burn area and into Roaring
                    Springs Canyon. Drainage winds in Bright Angel
                    Canyon more north-northeast. Drainage winds
                    decreasing toward sunrise and turning
                    east-northeast.
