...HAZARDOUS THUNDERSTORMS IMPACTING THE COASTAL WATERS...

At 533 AM EDT, thunderstorms were located along a line extending from
12 nm south of Edisto Offshore Reef to near Hilton Head Reef, moving
southeast at 10 knots.

  HAZARD...Winds up to 30 knots and excessive cloud-to-water
           lightning.

  IMPACT...Expect briefly stronger winds and suddenly higher waves.
           Lightning can endanger your life and damage your boat.
           Unplug electrical equipment and avoid metal objects.

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and poor visibility in heavy rain. Boaters
should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. Put on a
personal flotation device.
