244 FNUS72 KNHC 251212 AAA FWSNHC SPOT FORECAST FOR AUTEC Flight...USCG...Updated NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL 0800 EST Sat Jan 25 2025 Updated the discussion section and to include aviation weather forecast Forecast is based on forecast start time of 0800 EST on January 25. IF CONDITIONS BECOME UNREPRESENTATIVE...CONTACT THE NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER/TROPICAL ANALYSIS AND FORECAST BRANCH AT (305)229-4425. .DISCUSSION...A cold front along a Bermuda to 350 nm east of Andros Island to Jamaica line will continue to move eastward and weaken through the forecast period. High pressure ridging in the wake of the front is building over the southeastern U.S. and northern Bahamas. Fresh to strong northerly winds and building wave heights follow the front. These fresh to strong winds will gradually weaken through the rest of the weekend while the wave heights subside. Wave heights may occasionally be higher as a northeast swell spreads through passages and channels. Satellite imagery shows some modest breaks in the cloud canopy over the northern Bahamas, but there are still patches of MVFR ceilings lingering in the vicinity of the spot forecast area. Weaker wind speeds are reflected in todays`s forecast than were in yesterday`s outlook for today, albeit still remaining rather brisk. Similar weather conditions are expected tomorrow, with slightly weaker northeast to east winds. The following is the latest aviation forecast issued by the Aviation Weather Center for USCG operations near Inagua Island. Today`s forecast: 25/12Z-26/00Z: SCT020 BKN035 TOP 070. ISOL BKN020.
