A Marine Weather Statement has been issued for the following areas...
  Coastal waters from Freeport to Matagorda Ship Channel TX out 20
  Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...
  Galveston Bay...

At 447 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from near Bastrop Bay to near
Galveston 282, moving west at 15 knots.

  Bastrop Bay around 500 PM CDT.
  Christmas Bay around 510 PM CDT.
  Drum Bay around 515 PM CDT.
  Surfside Jetty around 545 PM CDT.


Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
