...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
S of Cape Lookout NC to Surf City NC out to 20 nm...
Waters from Cape Lookout to Surf City NC from 20 to 40 nm...

At 848 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 8 nm northwest of Emerald Isle Bridge to 8 nm
southwest of Ar345 to 7 nm southeast of Topsail Boxcars, moving east
at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Atlantic Beach, The Center Of Bogue Sound, Northwest Places, Salter
Path, Ar320, Ar342, Beaufort Inlet, The Vicinity Of Pine Knoll
Shores, Bogue Inlet, Ar355, R-8 Buoy, Ar345, Beaufort, The Vicinity
Of Emerald Isle Bridge, Big Ten Fathom, Emerald Isle, Ar315, The
Turning Basin, Harkers Island and Ar340.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are
expected.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather
Service.
