Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. ANZ898-200215- 1003 PM EDT Sat Jul 18 2026 .SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A warm front will lift N from the Georges Bank and Gulf of Maine waters tonight as the next cold front approaches the coast. The cold front will cross the area early Sun, and pass S and E of the waters Sun afternoon into Sun night. High pressure will move E over the waters Mon while weakening. The front to the S will then return N as a warm front Tue into Tue night, and lift N of the waters by early Wed. Another cold front will move slowly E into the waters later Wed into Wed night.
