Hydrologic Statement

For the Pine River...The following locations are included: Rudyard.

* Runoff from heavy rain, especially over upper portions of the
Pine River basin, is producing rapid rises on the river near
Rudyard Wednesday evening. The river is quickly approaching
action stage of 15 feet. It is not presently expected to
reach flood stage of 17 feet, but this situation will continue
to be monitored. People with interests along the Pine River in
eastern upper Michigan should periodically check river levels
tonight and Thursday.

The National Weather Service in Gaylord will closely monitor river
levels...and will issue additional statements or warnings as
conditions warrant.
