Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Skies were sunny to mostly sunny across the region this
afternoon. Southerly winds were observed at 10 to 15 mph, with
gusts around 20 mph. At 2 PM MDT (3 PM CDT), temperatures ranged
from 78 degrees in Flagler, Colorado to 87 degrees in Hill City,

OUTLOOK... Expect lows in the low to mid 60s tonight under mostly
clear to partly cloudy skies. There is a slight chance of
thunderstorms after midnight for the far southeastern portion of
the area. Severe weather is not currently anticipated.

Temperatures climb into the upper 80s to low 90s on Sunday as
cloud cover decreases. Thunderstorms will be possible for much of
the region late Sunday night into early Monday. A cluster of
thunderstorms could cross the High Plains during the overnight
hours, with a few strong to severe storms possible. Confidence in
thunderstorms occurring is low at this time. Lows are expected to
be in the low to mid 60s once again.
