Weather Summary for the Local Tri-State Region
National Weather Service New York NY
340 AM EDT Wed Sep 18 2019

High pressure builds over New England from Canada today and then
will dominate the weather pattern through Friday. There will be a
mixture of sun and clouds today, especially across Long Island and
southern Connecticut. Less cloud cover is expected west of New
York City. These clouds will clear quickly late this afternoon
with mostly clear skies prevailing through the rest of the week.

High temperatures today and Thursday will be in the upper 60s to
lower 70s. Nighttime lows will be in the lower to middle 40s
inland and upper 40s to middle 50s elsewhere. These temperatures
are below normal for this time of year. A warming trend begins on
Friday with highs reaching the middle and upper 70s for most
locations except around 80 degrees in the New York City metro.
