...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT FOR SOUTHERN FLORENCE...NORTHWESTERN
MARION AND NORTHWESTERN WILLIAMSBURG COUNTIES UNTIL 715 PM EDT...

At 614 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Hebron, or 7 miles southwest of Lake City, moving
northeast at 20 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with these storms.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with thess storms, and may
lead to localized flooding.

Locations impacted include...
Marion, Lake City, Kingstree, Pamplico, Hyman, Hannah, Cades, Poston,
Brittons Neck, Rains, Gresham, Hebron, Friendfield, New Hope,
Evergreen, Kingsburg, Scranton, Coward, Olanta and Central
Crossroads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can pose a variety of threats including gusty winds,
small hail, cloud to ground lightning, and localized flooding. It is
recommended that you remain indoors until the storm passes. Do not
drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
