...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT ALPINE...EL DORADO AND DOUGLAS
COUNTIES THROUGH 445 PM PDT...

At 414 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Grover Hot Springs, or 8 miles east of Carson Pass, moving north at
15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Woodfords, Grover Hot Springs, Mesa Vista, Alpine Village, Hope
Valley, Junction CA 88 W And CA 89 N (picketts Junction), Indian
Creek Campground, Markleeville, Turtle Rock Campground, Paynesville,
Indian Creek Reservoir, Alpine County Airport, and Luther Pass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
