The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Lake Okeechobee...

* Until 745 PM EDT.

* At 622 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Fort Pierce North to 7 nm south of Buckhead
  Ridge to 16 nm west of Moore Haven, moving southeast at 10 to 15
  knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Liberty Point, Canal Point, Clewiston, Pahokee, Sand Cut, Buckhead
  Ridge, Lake Harbor, Calusa, and Moore Haven.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
