The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  West central Pecos County in southwestern Texas...
  South central Reeves County in southwestern Texas...
  Northwestern Brewster County in southwestern Texas...
  Southeastern Jeff Davis County in southwestern Texas...
  Northeastern Presidio County in southwestern Texas...

* Until 845 PM CDT.

* At 539 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding in
  the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Alpine, Fort Davis, Bloys Camp, McDonald Observatory, Camp Mitre
  Peak, Alpine-Casparis Municipal Airport, Davis Mountains State
  Park, Marfa Municipal Airport, Paisano Pass, Black Mountain, Indian
  Lodge and Fort Davis National Historical Site.

This includes the following low water crossing locations RR 1837
crossing Barillos Creek tributary, Sqt Gonzalez Dr crossing Chihuahua
Creek, Cemetery Rd crossing Chihuahua Creek, and Cemetery Rd crossing
Chihuahua Creek tributary.


In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
