This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Thunderstorm chances return to the forecast tonight. The best
chances look to be centered over areas along and south of Highway
6 and into north central Kansas. A few storms will have the
potential to become strong to severe with wind gusts near 60 MPH
and quarter size hail possible in the strongest of storms. Heavy
rainfall rates will be possible from any storm.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Off and on chances for thunderstorms return Friday through next
Wednesday.

Heat index values as hot as 103 degrees is forecast across a few
north central Kansas and far southeastern Nebraska areas Saturday
and Sunday afternoon. Heat index values as high as 100 to 106
are forecast Monday through Wednesday afternoon across the entire
forecast area.

Spotters are encouraged to report hail of any size, strong wind
gusts or any flooding that might occur this evening and tonight.
