DISCUSSION:

SHOWERS WILL SPREAD OVER THE AREA THIS EVENING, MOSTLY ON THE LIGHT
SIDE BUT WITH SOME BRIEF MODERATE RATES AT TIMES. HIGHEST AMOUNTS
TONIGHT EXPECTED TO BE IN SLO AND NORTHERN SB COUNTIES AND THE
EASTERN SAN GABRIEL MOUNTAINS WHERE BETWEEN .5-1" ARE POSSIBLE.
ELSEWHERE AMOUNTS GENERALLY UNDER A HALF INCH ARE EXPECTED.

SCATTERED SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED WEDNESDAY, AGAIN MOSTLY LIGHT.
THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS IN LA/VENTURA COUNTIES
WEDNESDAY WHICH COULD GENERATE LOCALLY HIGHER RAIN RATES.

SHOWERS EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN AREAL COVERAGE LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT
INTO THURSDAY. PEAK RAIN RATES MOSTLY UNDER A QUARTER INCH PER HOUR.
ADDITIONAL RAIN AMOUNTS DURING THIS PERIOD EXPECTED TO BE BETWEEN .5-
1" ON AVERAGE WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS IN THE FOOTHILLS AND
MOUNTAINS.

SNOW LEVELS WILL MOSTLY BE BETWEEN 5000 AND 5500 THROUGH THE PERIOD.
THERE WILL BE SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS ABOVE 7000 FEET
WITH LESSER AMOUNTS BETWEEN 5500 AND 7000 FEET.

DRIER CONDITIONS WILL RETURN TO SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA ON FRIDAY AND
LAST THROUGH NEXT WEEK.
