...Heavy Snow Showers at Nome Through This Evening...

Bands of heavy snow showers have been moving over the Southern
Seward Peninsula today. The visibility will fall to one half mile
for brief periods through this evening as the snow showers move
over the area. As of 2 pm, about 2 inches of snow had fallen at
Nome. Another several inches of snow is expected through this

Storm total snow fall of 4 to 5 inches are expected across the
Southern Seward Peninsula by midnight tonight, when the snow
tapers off.
