This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

Lingering thunderstorms will exit the area this morning. There is
a slight chance for thunderstorm development this afternoon
mainly east. If a storm develops, it is not expected to reach
severe levels.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Periods of thunderstorms will impact the area from Wednesday
night into Saturday. There is a slight risk for thunderstorms to
become severe on Thursday.

It`s too early to determine the severe storm potential beyond
Thursday.

In addition to severe storms, there is a slight risk for heavy
rain that could lead to flash flooding or rises on area creeks and
rivers Thursday and Friday.

Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight.
