This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Thunderstorm chances return for Thursday Night in the northwest,
and again on Friday area wide during the afternoon and evening
hours. Much of the holiday weekend will be dry, but there will be
sporadic, brief thunderstorm chances then as well. A few storms
may be strong, but the primary threat would be locally heavy rain
with any of these storms.

The holiday weekend will also be unseasonably warm and more humid
with highs in the 80s to lower 90s. Combined with the humidity
levels the heat indices may exceed 95 degrees from Saturday
through Monday in some areas. This could lead to heat related
impacts if precautions are not taken.

Spotters will generally not be needed through the weekend, but a
few brief activations cannot be ruled out.
