.THE 2019 SPRING SEASON WAS COOLER THAN NORMAL AT HIBBING MN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE SPRING SEASON WAS 34.3 DEGREES WHICH
WAS 3.6 DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 37.9 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST
TEMPERATURE FOR THE SPRING WAS 79 DEGREES ON MAY 30TH. THE LOWEST
TEMPERATURE FOR THE SPRING WAS -28 DEGREES ON MARCH 4TH. NO MONTHLY
TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE BROKEN THIS SPRING. HOWEVER MAY WAS THE 4TH
COLDEST IN STATION HISTORY WITH AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 45.8
DEGREES.

THE AVERAGE WIND SPEED FOR THE SPRING WAS 7.1 MPH. THE HIGHEST
SUSTAINED WIND OCCURRED ON MARCH 14TH WITH A SPEED OF 32 MPH OUT OF
THE NORTH NORTHWEST. THE HIGHEST PEAK WIND GUST OCCURRED ON MARCH
14TH WITH A SPEED OF 44 MPH OUT OF THE NORTH NORTHWEST.

THERE WERE 2805 HEATING DEGREE DAYS FOR THE SPRING WHICH WAS 407
ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 2398. THERE WERE 0 COOLING DEGREE DAYS FOR THE
SPRING WHICH WAS 4 BELOW THE NORMAL OF 4.

THE OUTLOOK FOR SUMMER...NORMAL HIGHS START IN THE LOW 70S IN EARLY
JUNE AND PEAK TO THE UPPER 70S DURING JULY. BY THE END OF AUGUST
NORMAL HIGHS COOL TO THE LOW 70S. NORMAL LOWS START IN THE LOW 40S
AND WARM TO THE LOW 50S BY LATE JUNE. BY THE END OF AUGUST NORMAL
LOWS COOL TO THE MID 40S. NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE SUMMER IS
11.68 INCHES. THE LATEST CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER OUTLOOK
INDICATES THAT THERE IS NO CLEAR INDICATION FOR ABOVE OR BELOW
PRECIPITATION AND ODDS ARE TILTED TOWARD BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES.
