The National Weather Service in Paducah has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Calloway County in western Kentucky...

* Until 945 PM CDT.

* At 627 PM CDT, emergency management reported several roads that
  were still flooded and impassable, including a portion of State
  Route 121 south of New Concord. Although the heavy rain has ended,
  water will be slow to recede in portions of the county that
  received the heaviest rainfall amounts over 2 inches this
  afternoon.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Emergency management.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Murray, Hazel, Kirksey, Harris Grove, New Concord and Crossland.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
