Dakota...
  James River At Columbia
  James River Near Stratford
  James River At Ashton

.The following river forecasts include forecast precipitation through
the next 24 hours. Any additional future precipitation could affect
the forecasts.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...Flood waters can be very dangerous. Never drive
across a flooded road. Turn around don`t drown!

  The James River At Columbia.
* until further notice.
* At 10:30 AM Tuesday the stage was 15.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 15.9 feet by this
  afternoon. Additional rises may be possible thereafter.
* At 15.0 feet...Significant amounts of agricultural lands are
  flooded.

* At 10:45 AM Tuesday the stage was 16.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will remain near 16.5 feet.
* At 17.0 feet...County roads begin flooding and the road 2 miles
  north of the gauging location is one of the first to flood.

* until further notice.
* At 10:45 AM Tuesday the stage was 14.1 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 14.0 feet
  by Wednesday morning.
* At 14.0 feet...Water reaches the bottom of the bridge 3 miles north
  and 1 1/2 mile east of Ashton.
