High pressure centered over the lower Mississippi River Valley
provided mostly sunny skies, mild temperatures, and breezy winds
across the region Wednesday evening. Afternoon high temperatures
ranged from 49 in Freeport and Dubuque, to 62 in Iowa City.

A weak cold front will move across the region this evening,
allowing winds to decrease and become northerly tonight. Expect
mostly clear skies and quiet conditions as low temperatures drop
into the middle 20s to near 30. High pressure will follow behind
the front, reaching the northern Great Lakes on Thursday
afternoon. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies during the day as
high temperatures range from the middle 40s along the Highway 20
corridor, to middle 50s over northeast Missouri.
