Showers and a few thunderstorms developed over parts of the
Mississippi Valley on Saturday. The heaviest rains fell across
parts of Missouri. Isolated storms near Sigourney and Olin
produced nearly an inch of rain. Elsewhere over eastern Iowa and
western Illinois rainfall was sparse, ranging from sprinkles to a
few tenths of an inch. Temperatures ranged from 84 degrees in the
Quad Cities to 76 degrees at Freeport.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move across the region
tonight and Sunday. A weak cold front pushing across Iowa will
cause overnight temperatures to range from the lower 50s near
Independence to the lower 60s near Kahoka. On Sunday high temperatures
will range from the upper 50s in northeast Iowa and northwest
Illinois, to the upper 70s from Memphis to Macomb.
