.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1145 AM EDT Sun Apr 21 2024
The 12z Sunday morning sounding at KEY sampled a quasi-dry
adiabatic, well-mixed layer up to around 960 mb, capped by a sharp 3-4C
temperature inversion. It should thus come as no surprise that all
satellite-derived products are detecting mostly sunny skies across
the Florida Keys. Meanwhile, further to the northwest, infrared
imagery is depicting a cluster of deep thunderstorms in the
vicinity of the Florida Panhandle. These storms are associated
with a weak frontal boundary, which will push through the Keys
coastal waters on Monday. Until then, a routine forecast, with
highs in the mid 80s this afternoon and nil rain chances. No
changes proposed for this late morning update cycle.

.MARINE...
Issued at 1145 AM EDT Sun Apr 21 2024
There are no watches, warnings, or advisories currently in effect
for the coastal waters of the Florida Keys. From synopsis, high
pressure over the western North Atlantic will continue to retreat
farther offshore this afternoon, with southeasterly breezes
slackening across the Florida Keys coastal waters. Light to gentle
southeast to south breezes tonight into Monday will become
moderate from the northwest to north Monday afternoon and evening,
as a weak frontal boundary slides through South Florida and the
Keys. High pressure building over the Southeast will bring
moderate easterly breezes back to the Keys waters by the middle of
the week, with fresh breezes developing later in the week.

.AVIATION...
