Flood Watch
National Weather Service Bismarck ND
245 PM CDT Fri Mar 23 2018

...The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Flood Watch
for the following rivers in North Dakota...

Missouri River near Williston affecting Williams and McKenzie

. The Yellowstone and Missouri Rivers west of Williston are on the
rise. Runoff from melting snow in Montana has produced enough
runoff to lift and start moving the ice on the Yellowstone River.
This higher water and potential for ice movement can create ice
jams. Episodes of rapidly rising and falling water levels on
either the Missouri or Yellowstone Rivers can be expected. The threat
of ice jams and higher water will remain until the Missouri River
near Williston is mostly clear of its ice cover.
